Some days I find myself asking Heavenly Father for more than am I am thanking him for. I don't need a special holiday to take time to appreciate all the things that I am blessed with in life but I also feel its important to acknowledge the things I am grateful for. Since this is a public journal I won't bore you too much with my list of gratitude. I am grateful/thankful for:
Health--it's such an easy thing to take for granted, whether it's a minor cold or something unknown I can't live a full life it it wasn't for the health that I have everyday.
Knowledge--it's great to know that anything I want to learn is pretty much at my finger tips.
Gospel truths--there is no doubt in my mind that Heavenly Father created a plan for us, His children, to come to earth for a mortal experience and through those experience return to his presence. I know my purpose on earth and that all the gospel principles taught by Jesus Christ in the New Testament and continued now in these latter days are for my benefit and eternal progression.

Family and friends are a given because I don't think you can be truly grateful for the many things in life without being grateful for the people who surround you in your life.
As for our holiday weekend, we headed up north with Jason and his sister to enjoy a Prescher family thanksgiving. Fortunately everyone was able to make it! It is so fun when everyone gets together. Brothers and sisters reunited, in laws hear more stories about their spouses, and the grandkids go wild! We didn't think Jason's brother Ed and his family were going to make it because the day before they were all sick with the flu or food posioning probably the flu because late Friday night Jason and his mom both got pretty sick.
For the first time I did the black friday shopping--not because there was anything I was super dying to buy but Crystal, my s.i.l does this EVERY year. It was quite the experience. We left the house by 3:30am to get to the opening by 4am-yikes! We only went to 4 stores. First kohl's; the line to get in was starting to wrap around the building and people were nuts once they hit the store for the door buster items. Our next stop Shopko, which didn't open until 5 so we had about 40 minutes to kill so since Yonkers was open and was pretty dead we check out things there. Shopko was pretty nuts too. Then our last stop Target and wow baby! I was having fun until we hit target. It was a mad house and the line check out line wrapped around the whole store. Pretty much by 6 am no one was shopping because everyone was waiting in line to check out. The only thing I wanted pretty much out of this black friday was a $3 sandwich maker at Target and I didn't get it. But it was a fun expereince and at least I can say i've done it now!

Family dinner. We are missing a few people. The babies were sleeping so we actually had a chance to enjoy our own uninterupted dinner--that feels like a first!

All the Prescher grandkids!
