nothing new

There's not much going on with us lately. Addison's cold probably just cleared up in the last day and fortunately my raspy voice mostly comes out at night.
One of us lost the battery camera charger so we haven't taken a picture or anything in the last couple of weeks. After searching the house and every possible place the charger could have been I decided we weren't going to find it and we needed to buy another one. I take my camera EVERYWHERE and it was killing me not being able to use it. What's the point of having a camera if you never use it?

My sister has been requesting more videos so here are some video's I dug up from the beginning of the month. I will start taking my pictures again so you have something current.

This is why we call Addison Bam-Bam

You would think that hurts her hand after a while.

colds all around

The most eventful thing for us on Sundays is church. We did not make it to church because Addison and I have pretty bad colds and Jason will probably follow soon. And for someone who works in the nursery with 15 kids between 18 months and 3 years, it would not have been a good idea to share our sniffly noses. Although I rethought my decision to stay home thinking how this is the best Sunday to go because it's the Primary Presentation in Sacrament meeting. Sundays are normally a nice family day to relax and be together but Jason has to work so not going to church, Jason getting ready to leave soon makes Sunday a LONG day. I do not enjoy being sick or sounding like a man (that's usually what happens, my voice goes a little and then comes back sounding manly and for someone who already has a deeper voice to begin with, it's not so good.) however there are a few things that are nice once in a while... Addison sleeping 14 hrs at night. That's right, last night she slept from 5:30pm to 7 this morning! She did wake to feed but she's pretty good at eating while still sleeping. She always sleeps in her crib but last night when she woke up to feed I brought her in the bed and instead of putting her back in her crib I just let her stay in with us. After feeding her I couldn't sleep so I just lay looking at her, thinking how precious she is. I love those moments just sleeping and having her tiny little body in the middle of ours. Those moments could happen more often but I'll be honest, I'm a little selfish and don't like to share my cuddle space and with her in the middle, she kind of gets in the way of that. Despite our fauceting noses, Addison still seems to have lots of energy during the day and is still smiles. We'll see if we get another bedtime at 5:30 tonight.

teeth

The time has come, Addison has teeth. Her 2 front teeth. They made their debute last monday morning, after a weekend that I hope is not a foreshadow of what to expect with the rest of her teeth. My poor girl would wake up in the middle of the night crying and crying. Could not be comforted by anything. I think one night she even cried for 2 hours. Once they broke the gum last Monday morning she has been fine. We waited a week for them to be a little more noticeable. For now, this is the best picture.

goblins, ghosts, and pumpkins, oh my!

October was one of my favorite months (until all we've had was rain or dreary skies the last 10 days). The festival time of year is on us now and it starts with Halloween. I'm a penny pincher but grandma georgia, well she really can't resist any cute outfit that she envision Addison in. What happens when grandma georgia can't say no...Addison gets 3 different Halloween type of outfits. Before I ever see an outfit grandma georgia has bought Addison I tell her she should take it back and save her money (babies grow way too fast to have new outfits) but I must admit Addison looks pretty cute/silly in them.

8 months

Addison is 8 months old!! Up until now it doesn't seem like she's that big or time has gone too fast and it still doesn't but the whole idea of the time period of 8 months is like "wow, it's been a long time". Eight months seems like an accomplishment; she's mobile, makes funny faces, and has her own little personality that is really starting to show through. This month is a lot more exciting the last because she has started doing several new "tricks".
A glimspe into her personality: the other night I put her in her crib, she wasn't ready but I thought she need to "wind down" and know that bedtime was soon approaching. Of course she cried and wailed but the funny thing was is that during her 5 minutes of upheaval about bedtime I thought I heard several cars driving by with loud basses. Turns out that when I went to get Addison the "bass" noise I heard was Addison banging her hand against the rail of her crib!!! Talk about demanding! She also bangs her hand against the couch when she pulls herself up; on her high chair table, pretty much anything that will make a noise when she hits it! That's where I came up with the idea for her to bam bam for Halloween, even though he's a boy. If she sweetens up in the next few weeks maybe she can be pebbles. My crazy girl.

Addison has started making faces too. She realizes she has a tongue and can do things with it. Her favorite to just let it hang out. Not the cutest face but still. She makes an O face and even makes to Ooh sound. And the funniest is her pouting face. Her bottom lip quivers and she has a little cry. And of course she still makes plently of grunting sounds. Here are some pictures of her faces.

Didn't get the best picture of her pouty face but it's the best I could do.

We have also lowered her crib this month. She almost crawled out of it one night, scared me half to death. That night she slept with us until Jason lowered it the next morning. She a pro at pulling herself up on anything, your legs, the couch, her bed, ANYTHING!
I'm not sure if this is a sign we should put her in gymnastics as she gets older or what...

And of course, she has learned to crawl this month.

Utah 2009

There's a lot of pictures on here but it's hard not to put up pictures because when we travel we are busy just about every minutes doing something. The last week in September we headed to Utah. I had a couple lia sophia shows out there so we thought we might as well just make it a family trip. Kimberly and John met us in Utah the first couple of days (they were already on a two week road trip seeing everything in the West so why not stop and meet us) and we almost got Jennifer to be there too but it just wasn't a good time. We stayed with my Aunt. It was great to spend time with family. My cousin also lives there but with luck they'll be moving here if her husband decides to go to Dental school at Marquette. We had a great time, did a lot of sightseeing; there were a few things we missed last year when we were there.

Kimberly picked us up from the airport, drove back to my aunts house to drop of suitcases and then head to Timpanogos Caves to go on a hike. We did this last year but Kim and John needed to expierence it and it was cool enough to do it again.

Addison did so good on the hike. She loves being outdoors. She was all smiles. I hope all these outdoor adventures we go on continues as she gets bigger because she really does like seeing all the different things outside.

In the action of the hike! Kim insisted on carrying her up the mountain but there weren't any complaints from us, thanks kim!

This is a group picture at the top of the moutain and the opening of the cave. Theres a sign right above us but the guy forgot to get the sign too.

After the adventure through the caves Addison was so tired and needed a little nap. Kim loved it because this is pretty much the only time Addison is a cuddly baby otherwise she pushes you away if you try to hold her tight, right kim?

The view from the top of the mountain is amazing. I'm not a "mountain lover" but they are beautiful to see and looked down on things.

Kim kept telling Addison that they are "mountain sisters"--in hopes that Addison will remember this moment as she gets bigger.

Chasing the birds away at the Salt Lake.

Rock skipping.

More auntie bonding.

We went for a hike to find a waterfall done the street from my aunts house but the hike turned into a 2 hr hike instead of 20 minutes and was the wrong waterfall AND we never made it to the falls. Since I thought it would only be a 20 mintue hike I didn't bring the sunscreen for Addison but as more time was passing I became more paranoid about her getting burned so I made Jason take his shirt off and cover Addison's head, I mean she's still pretty bald :)...

We made our way down to Southern Utah and stopped at Bryce Canyon, which I think was way cool! I love Addison's smile as Jason is being crazy. The canyon was beautiful and so fun to hike around in.

Gorgeous.

The "two bridges".

In a little hut. This time I remembered the sunscreen but the sun just beats on you so yes, paranoid again about her little head we covered it with a little pancho kimberly bought her when her and John went into Mexico on there road trip.

These formations are amazing.

The path down in to the canyon we hiked. This hike was my favorite part of Bryce Canyon.

After Bryce Canyon we went to Zion's National Park. It was nice to see the park but didn't think it was as nice as Bryce.

Jason thought this was really neat.

Hike up one of the mountains...again....we did LOTS of hikes.

The end destination after our hike...
My excitement after we hiked far and this was the end result...
We were busy our whole trip. Some things I didn't get pictures of was my friend Cami and her husband Juan. We went out for pizza at The Pie after Cami, my Auntie Jane and I attended the Women's General Conference. Last year we were in Utah at the same time and Cami's ward was giving out tickets so she picked one up for me but this year her ward wasn't passing them out and I was really hoping to go again. Jason "secretly" got tickets, I say secretly because it was only a surprise for about 5 minutes because I went to check my email and it was still in his account and there was an email to Cami telling her that he had got me tickets but to keep it a surprise because he knew how much I wanted to go. So it was only a secret for literally 5 minutes but its one of the best surprises I could have had. Like I've said before, he's such a great supporter to me! The three woman went to the conference and then Jason and I went out with Cami and her husband. It was a lot of fun. The Pie was right next to a university so there was a lot of young people--I'm young but I was the only one with a baby so that didn't make me feel the age I am. It was a good time and it's always nice to see good friends.
We spent time visiting with my cousin and her two daughters, who love Addison and LOVE to hold her. The night I had my lia sophia show Jason and all the men went bowling with the kids.
It was just a good trip. I wasn't ready to come home but after registering that we had to leave it feels good to be home--there's no place like home! Except now we're are back to normal life and the adventures are put on hold for a few months.
Thanks for everyone taking time to visit and accomodate us.

I can't believe how excited I was when I saw what I thought I saw; Addison's first crawling movements. I was in shock. For the last week I thought she was going skip crawling and eventually walk because she just climbs on everything and pulls herself up so well. She started crawling just after 1 pm yesterday when Jason left for work. The second most exciting thing shes done, next to her first smile when she exactly 8 weeks!
