TOUCH DOWN!!!

The Packers have made it to the playoffs and Addison is ready to sport her patriotism to them. Auntie Kimberly and Uncle Tony are HUGE Packer fans, so of course that means Addison is too! What do Packer fanatics give their niece for Christmas? A Rogers jersey, Packer hat and nighty too!

She's all ready for her Uncle Matt to take her to a game one of these days!!!

videoThis video is REALLY long and I didn't know who to break it up but if you skip to about 1:50, you tell me how is excited about the gift--Auntie kim or Addison.

O December

Christmas is just a couple days a way! This month has been fun and we've enjoyed a few family acitivities. We took our first family Christmas picture! We took the time to get all dressed up and then the lady only took one family photo...ONE, so there weren't any other options. ( I can't figure how to rotate the picture, sorry).
We also decorated a ginger bread house. It was fun and it's a tradition that Jason's mom has always done. She's a pro, she makes hers completely from scratch. We just bought a kit and decorated it. It was still fun!

For the last 3 years Jason and I have attended a play or ballet put on by my aunt's church. This year's play was fantastic! My Uncle, as well as 2 of my cousins were in the play so it was even more exciting. My uncle was one of the main character and he did a amazing job. It was a lot of fun, something we look forward to every year.
We (most me) looked forward to my sisters coming to town. Kimberly arrived Saturday and came down Sunday to spend a couple days with us. She spent the days smothering Addison, and she (& I) loved it! Kimberly also took care of Addison while I went to lia sophia Christmas party. Before I left I captured a sweet picture of the two of them. Addison falling a sleep in someone's arms rarely happens so it pretty much made my sisters day!

fun times with Addison

These are just some fun pictures of Addison, in her crazy moments over the last week!

This is how I found her. I don't know how she got in the basket without tiping it over! I remember hearing her laughing and crawling into the kitchen. I thougt she was looking for me so I walked out the other side and then back to my bedroom to get something. When I came back this is how I found her! Jason and I were both amazed she got ino the basket by herself. Crazy, I tell ya.

This one just cracked us up! She's a determined girl. At least it is her size.

Posing for the camera.

Addison laughing while trying to stay balanced.

My crazy girl can't just do one thing at a time. Of course she can't let go of her bottle so she can play the keys and she has to be standing.

This video's kind of long (I know you like that Jen:)) But the most exciting part is at the end. She's been working on this for almost 2 weeks. I think she's doing great!

10 months

It's been 10 months since we brought Addison home from the hospital. Looking back, the Sunday we brought her home our new house was COMPLETELY empty except for the blow up bed we pulled in to have something to sleep on--in the living room. I can't remember if Addison slept in her car seat or if we put her in the pack-and-play. Needless to say, it was a humble beginning but it didn't matter because she was so sweet and precious. Now this baby is the best crawler I know and on the verge of walking...just last week she walked 3 feet all by herself, we were shocked! She loves to watch everything that is going on. She's so alert and doesn't miss a beat. She loves to be where the action is. She is nothing but smiles ALL the time. Several people say she's the happiest baby they've ever seen. Even when she cries she smiles; I don't know how we were so lucky to get such a happy baby. She now has 4 teeth, 2 on bottom and 2 on the top. The top 2 are still working there way down, but there arrival was much more pleasant than the bottom teeth. I put her on her scale this morning and she weighed 17.12 lbs. She loves to eat but has the metabolism of her Grandpa Don and Great Grandma Sophie--you watch them eat and don't know how they are so skinny!! She also has endless energy. My Grandma Warren is 96 years old and I call her the energizer bunny because just when you think she's down and out she comes back with the most amazing surge for life. Addison is full of life but there's just not enough hours in the day for her to use up all her energy! I love it and it's so entertaining to watch the things she finds fascinating. She gives great loves and this last month has been another favorite time of mine. People who already have kids always say cheerish this time because it goes so fast. I feel like I have but the next moment is just as fun to be a part of, it seems like everyday gets better and better with her!

Addison is so fun

Who needs expensive toys when there are boxes to play with!

video

I've been kind of lax on the whole working out for the last 6 months. And now that I'm ready and would like to run it's cold outside, so we bought a tredmill this weekend as my Christmas gift. I know, kimberly already yelled at me for buying it but it's not just a Christmas gift, it was my birthday and anniversary gift this year...so I think it's worth it! Maybe I'll be able to tackle that marathon next year but forsure the 1/2 marathon again.

Jason put it together last night and this morning Addison found a new toy! I think she's going to have just as much fun as I will on it. We'll all be in shape together.

Thanksgiving weekend

Some days I find myself asking Heavenly Father for more than am I am thanking him for. I don't need a special holiday to take time to appreciate all the things that I am blessed with in life but I also feel its important to acknowledge the things I am grateful for. Since this is a public journal I won't bore you too much with my list of gratitude. I am grateful/thankful for:
Health--it's such an easy thing to take for granted, whether it's a minor cold or something unknown I can't live a full life it it wasn't for the health that I have everyday.
Knowledge--it's great to know that anything I want to learn is pretty much at my finger tips.
Gospel truths--there is no doubt in my mind that Heavenly Father created a plan for us, His children, to come to earth for a mortal experience and through those experience return to his presence. I know my purpose on earth and that all the gospel principles taught by Jesus Christ in the New Testament and continued now in these latter days are for my benefit and eternal progression.
Good books
Family and friends are a given because I don't think you can be truly grateful for the many things in life without being grateful for the people who surround you in your life.
As for our holiday weekend, we headed up north with Jason and his sister to enjoy a Prescher family thanksgiving. Fortunately everyone was able to make it! It is so fun when everyone gets together. Brothers and sisters reunited, in laws hear more stories about their spouses, and the grandkids go wild! We didn't think Jason's brother Ed and his family were going to make it because the day before they were all sick with the flu or food posioning probably the flu because late Friday night Jason and his mom both got pretty sick.
For the first time I did the black friday shopping--not because there was anything I was super dying to buy but Crystal, my s.i.l does this EVERY year. It was quite the experience. We left the house by 3:30am to get to the opening by 4am-yikes! We only went to 4 stores. First kohl's; the line to get in was starting to wrap around the building and people were nuts once they hit the store for the door buster items. Our next stop Shopko, which didn't open until 5 so we had about 40 minutes to kill so since Yonkers was open and was pretty dead we check out things there. Shopko was pretty nuts too. Then our last stop Target and wow baby! I was having fun until we hit target. It was a mad house and the line check out line wrapped around the whole store. Pretty much by 6 am no one was shopping because everyone was waiting in line to check out. The only thing I wanted pretty much out of this black friday was a $3 sandwich maker at Target and I didn't get it. But it was a fun expereince and at least I can say i've done it now!

Family dinner. We are missing a few people. The babies were sleeping so we actually had a chance to enjoy our own uninterupted dinner--that feels like a first!

All the Prescher grandkids!

doctors and cookies

Almost 2 weeks ago we had Addison's 9 month check up. Everything is great! She received a flu shot as well as the swine flu shot. I normally video record her shots but Jason was unable to make it and I just didn't have enough hands. After the shots the nurse asked if she could have a cookie (nilla waffers) so I said sure. You better believe when Addison saw the nurse bring something for her to eat her few tears dried up real fast! She was so excited about this cookie. I had never thought to give her a nilla waffer. Then earlier this week we had to take her to the doctor because she had a fever of 101.7--which lasted three days--but the doctor said everything was fine. No ear infection, nothing the doctor could see wrong--this morning we realized the fever might have been due to one of her top teeth breaking through the gum. Anyways, this week her normal doctor was out of town so it was the other doctor and Addison wasn't too thrill but as the doctor was leaving she gave Addison another nilla waffer and you better believe we had to go and buy a box for here at home! She loves this things. It's so funny to see her do her happy bounce and clap her hands...
video
Addison also enjoys pretty much any and EVERY kind of "real" food she can get. videoThen another video just to show you how crazy our girl can be! We love it and it is the best free entertainment we have. She think it's a game when we say Kaboom when she falls so she'll do it repeatedly just to hear us say kaboom! video
